Funding Sources

Funding for the Million Book Project is coming from multiple sources.

The Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India is funding the project in the Indian Institute of Science.

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) is funding the project at various partner centres of the Digital Library of India.

Various Centres have also pledged their local resources to make the Digital Library of India a reality.

The individual centres would acknowledge and provide more details about the agencies from which they have received support in their websites.

National Science Foundation is providing funding for Scanners and Software research and development.

Donations

Activities such as selection and acquisition of books, packing and shipping costs, and quality assurance of the content are unfunded, and would greatly benefit from your support.
